# CO Unit 88 – Pronghorn Tactical Analysis ## Terrain & Access Unit 88 spans 439,000 acres of mid-elevation plains and rolling terrain (4,416–5,565 ft) in northeastern Colorado. With only 21% public land, most hunting requires crossing private property or gaining permission—a significant constraint for walk-up access. ## Herd Status Pronghorn populations have trended downward in recent years.
