Terrain & Access ID 54 spans 874,000 acres across southern Idaho's high-desert plateau, ranging from 3,600 feet in the lower basins to over 8,000 feet in elevated country. The unit is roughly 61% public land, predominantly Bureau of Land Management (BLM) holdings interspersed with private ranches. Access is straightforward—open BLM terrain with established roads serving most huntable areas. The Shoshone Basin Road provides northern approach; southern access runs near Rogerson and Murtaugh.
