MT 704 — Tactical Analysis. Terrain & Access MT 704 spans 3.5 million acres across a wide elevation band (2,169–4,783 ft), from lower-country foothills to high montane forest. With only 32% public land, the unit is predominantly private—typical of eastern Montana. Successful hunters will need solid access relationships or willingness to hunt public patches strategically.
