OR ROGUE — Tactical Analysis. Terrain & Access The Rogue unit spans nearly a million acres across rugged southern Oregon terrain, ranging from 1,271 feet to over 9,300 feet elevation. This dramatic topography creates distinct hunting zones: lower foothill country in the 1,500–3,500 ft band and high-elevation alpine and subalpine habitat above 7,000 ft. Two-thirds of the unit is public land, providing solid access, though steep slopes and canyon country dominate much of the terrain.
