AZ 29 — Terrain & Hunt Character Unit 29 spans 648,000 acres across highly variable terrain, from low desert around 3,600 ft to high mixed-conifer country near 9,800 ft. The bulk of the unit is public land (70%), concentrated on Coronado National Forest in the Safford district—a significant advantage for access and scouting. Thirteen percent is designated wilderness, which places moderate constraints on free roaming but leaves the majority of huntable ground accessible via established routes and forest roads.
