CO Moose Unit 41

CO 41 — Tactical Analysis. Terrain & Access Unit 41 spans 4,555–10,660 feet, offering low-country sagebrush and riparian zones rising to high-elevation forest and alpine terrain. Two-thirds of the unit is public land, providing solid foot access without mandatory outfitter involvement. This elevation range creates distinct habitat zones: river bottoms and willow corridors at lower elevations where moose congregate, and mixed conifer forests above. Terrain is steep and rugged in upper drainages; lower country is more open and glassable. Access improves significantly in the lower half of the unit where public roads penetrate closer to moose habitat. ##..
