CO 111 — Tactical Analysis. Terrain & Access CO 111 spans 440,261 acres across moderate elevation (5,233–6,936 ft), but presents a serious access challenge: only 4% of the unit lies on public land. The vast majority is private, heavily limiting where you can legally hunt without permission or an outfitter. Terrain rises from foothill sage and piñon-juniper into mixed conifer at upper elevations, but access to the best habitat will require either prior landowner relationships or guided service.
