CO 52 — Tactical Analysis. Terrain & Access CO 52 spans 4,974–11,333 ft across 169,245 acres with roughly 48% public land. The unit comprises mesa country with sage at lower elevations, oak brush and aspen at mid-elevation, and dark timber at the top. According to local hunters, it is not classic Colorado mule deer terrain—the mesa is difficult to glass in places, and access points near roads experience heavy pressure.
