UT Mule Deer Unit Hiawatha

UT Hiawatha — Tactical Analysis Hunt Character Hiawatha is a general-draw mule deer unit accessible to both residents and nonresidents. The unit sits close to populated valleys, making it convenient for hunters from Utah and Salt Lake regions. Access is substantial across much of the unit, though the northern portion (Salt Lake Valley side) is restricted to certain hunt types, effectively splitting huntable terrain. Herd Quality Recent surveys indicate improving buck-to-doe ratios, supported by mild winter conditions. The herd has been strengthening over the past several years, suggesting good recruitment and reasonable hunting pressure relative to available habitat. **Who..
