Terrain & Access Trout Peak spans 503,000 acres across dramatic elevation—from 4,160 to over 12,200 feet—creating distinct high-country and mid-elevation habitat zones. Public land comprises 86% of the unit, providing excellent hunter access. However, 42% wilderness designation is a critical constraint: nonresidents hunting here must hire a licensed Wyoming outfitter/guide by law.
